How have you all been? It’s been such a busy weekend that I ended up forgetting all about my business homework and ended up only typing up my philosophy thesis. But, I do not regret it because this weekend was filled with special moments I got to share with Anthony and his family. And now I am down to my final week this semester and then a wonderful summer vacation where I’m hoping to spend more time in Annandale and DC…and hopefully Busch Gardens because I have never been. ANYWAYS…let’s get this post started. So, the first event of the weekend was Anthony’s oldest niece’s First Communion! Like I said before, this was my first time witnessing such an event and I had not been to a Catholic Mass in so long! Anyways, those who are participating in their first communion go through Catachism classes before the communion event. Once they have completed the classes, they go to their first communion dressed in white like tiny brides or in suits like little grooms. It was beautiful and such a joy to see Anthony’s niece. I almost cried with pride! I’ve seen her grow up within the past three years into a beautiful young lady. Oh gosh, I’m becoming sappy!Moving on, this was my outfit for the First Communion. I almost went with an all black sweater dress with my lemon patterned scarf…but I decided to incorporate a more playful pattern and a light pink since I was celebrating the growth of a young lady!

Honestly, the moment I put this outfit together…I fell in love! It was cute and playful, but also elegant and classy. It’s not too busy and for me, that is always a plus. I also love the pants because they aren’t too long for my tiny 5’1 height. They are at a perfect length with no need for hemming! The little things in life…Next up is Anthony’s youngest niece’s baptism! (He’s got three nieces…so far.) It was such a beautiful ceremony, but unfortunately I didn’t get pictures until afterwards since I was getting Anthony’s mom pictures with her camera. But I did get some pictures afterwards while we were still in the church. And the baby was just a tad bit wiggly and a little grumpy during the ceremony, but afterwards she was calm and goofy like always. It’s been amazing watching her grow from just a tiny infant born 9 days after me to her learning to walk and now her baptism! WHY WON’T THE SAPPINESS STOP!? (T^T)/ But we ended up having a party after the service for her and the other niece! It was great talking to Anthony’s family. Every time we meet up, I learn something new and they are always asking about me and so on. It’s something I feel like I really missed out on as a child since most of my family is divided or too far away.Well, that was my busy weekend. Monday, Anthony and I spent most of the day relaxing and catching up on rest. I couldn’t help but take a picture of the flowers on the ground though. It was so beautiful despite the rain…and since the rain has continued into today, I found myself taking another picture. These flowers are in the blooming process infront of my house and they are so bright and beautiful! I love it when they bloom and they actually last for a while before turning into more leaves. But yes, this has been my weekend! I hope you all enjoyed this post about my busy weekend. I am so excited for summer you guys~! I don’t think you understand. I want to try restaurants and go to places in Virginia/DC that I have never been before! And tell you all about them of course. But I still have my final exams for the semester, so please wish me luck! Anyways, have a great week everyone~! Stay safe, eat well, and always remember to Live. Laugh. Smile 🙂
