Hello Ladies and Gents!
I’m sorry this post is rather late for a monthly favorite series. It’s been a bit busy here but I’m trying!! ( ˃̶͈ ̯ ̜ ˂̶͈ˊ ) ︠³
Anyways, this month I really focused on things that are calming and help me relax. So, it’s nothing too crazy but I really wanted to share these things with you in case anyone is looking for something to help them relax!
In terms of fashion, music, and books; these items are really incredibly helpful for me with combating my anxiety a bit. Although different things help different people, I highly recommend all of the items in this post! ヾ(・∀・*)
I have been so addicted to Akdong Musician lately. There’s something so calming and uplifting with their music that I have found myself listening to it at work in the car if I feel that I’m on the verge of a panic or anxiety attack. They’ve only released one album called “Play” but it’s so wonderful, I highly suggest it. My favorite tracks are “Artificial Grass” and “Melted.” They also released a powerful ballad as an online single called “Time and Fallen Leaves.” This song leaves me in tears every time, but it’s also relaxing. The feels guys, the feels. ꒰๑•̥﹏•̥๑꒱
I’ve had a lot of free time at work so I’ve been doing a lot of reading and found myself buying Marie Kondo’s newest book, “Spark Joy” to help with the clutter in my room which (hopefully) will help with my anxiety and kind of get me in the right mind set in terms of life and spending money among other things. The book is really simple in terms of instructions and doesn’t shame your clutter habits, but rather helps you determine which items spark joy in your life and which items aren’t. Plus, the illustrations are really cute.
I don’t know how or why, but I downloaded Love Live! School Idol Festival one night and I haven’t stopped playing since. The app is available on iOS systems and it’s really just…an otaku’s dream. I love the music and game play, it’s hard but the music makes me enjoy the challenge. It’s a tad difficult to rank up, but I love collecting the cards and MAKI IS ULTIMATE BAE YOU GUYS. This doesn’t really help with my anxiety, but it’s an overall fun game that I’d totally suggest for people with an iPad.
I’ve been buying new work clothes here and there to build up my wardrobe and one of my favorite pieces is this Merona Tunic from Target. It’s an olive green with elephants printed through the top. It’s so comfortable and light, and the color is relaxing to me. I looks cute casual with brown boots, or with black slacks and flats. It wasn’t too pricey either! I love pairing it with long necklaces too. ヾ(´▽｀;)ゝ
That’s all for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed the post. If you purchased any of these items or have any recommendations for music or books that help with anxiety or depression, please feel free to drop a comment down below! I’m not too sure what the next post will be on…maybe Valentine’s Day? Haha, but I’ll let you all know when I come up with it. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and week. HAPPY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY TOMORROW. (Let’s go Panthers~!)
Thanks for Reading~! ❤
